Riata isn't for everyone. We've had a couple people join the game who were so obviously not appropriate and who seemed surprised that they weren't appropriate that we thought we'd create this page for you. Obviously, there are some people who shouldn't join and some reasons that these people shouldn't join.
If you are a youngster, then we're jealous of you and you can't join. Actually, that's not true. Riata is a refuge for older players who are tired of dealing with emotional immaturity as well as just plain old immaturity. For this reason, you should be 16 or over to join the game. Of course, there are always exceptions and if you're very mature and over 13 you can still apply. Additionally, just because you're 20 doesn't mean you're old enough to join. We've had some older people join who were absolute trainwrecks. Emotional and mental maturity goes a long way here. If you aren't capable of interacting with others like a regular human being, you probably won't be accepted into the game.
If you don't realize that words should be capitalized or that your and you're are two separate words and should be used at different times, then Riata is definitely not for you. Grammar, spelling, and proper use of the English language is a hardcore area of importance for us in this game. If you type like this: 'i dun no, your a dumass," you won't be accepted and you'll be booted from the game without question. You are all taught the rules of the English language and we expect you to use those rules. No lazy typers allowed!
If you come into the game expecting that you get your way all the time and that everyone bow down to you, you'll not be here for long. Riata is an attitude-free zone and we really hate people who waltz in, rock the boat for the sake of rocking the boat, pretend that they're so much better than other players, and lie about their lives, horse experience, or anything else. Seriously. That's just the dumbest idea ever. If you get pissy about being told no, you can't be an admin right now just because you want to be one, then you're probably not an attitude free zone. This is about maturity and throwing temper tantrums is so not cool. Don't do it here, ok? If you like to do it, then find a different game.
